Archives of the Crown of Aragon Hosts Successful Group Visits and Exhibition
The Archives of the Crown of Aragon recently hosted two organized group visits to its headquarters, one on October 30 and another on November 14. These tours provided an opportunity for a total of 28 visitors to explore the extensive historical collections of the Archives, gaining insights into the region’s cultural heritage and its significance in European history.
Additionally, the Archives concluded its successful exhibition “Jorge Semprún. The Long Journey,” which ran from October 23 to November 3. This exhibition, dedicated to the life and work of Spanish writer and politician Jorge Semprún, attracted 425 visitors. Through a display of documents, photographs, and multimedia content, the exhibition showcased Semprún’s experiences in exile and his contributions to European cultural and political history.
The exhibition was made possible through a collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Spain, specifically Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), whose support was instrumental in reaching a broader audience and ensuring the success of the exhibition.
The Archive of the crown of Aragon was awarded the European Heritage Label in 2014.
