International Museum Day

The EHL awarded Archaeological Site of Nemea opened once again its doors, inviting audiences to celebrate together the International Museum Day 2026. On Saturday 23th of May, teenagers presented their own guided tours, highlighting the European values that Site represents. These tours are the result of the project Pairing for

Sharing where students had the opportunity to share their unique perspective. In parallel, a branch of students celebrated this festive day on Romanian Athenaeum, with guided tours on music heritage and European values.

Although the project came to its end, it still connects these two EHL Sites, empowering both cultural professionals and youngsters to engage more with cultural heritage!

The project: Pairing for sharing

EHL Sites: The Archaeological Site of Nemea & Romanian Athenaeum

With both sites lacking strong engagement strategies for teenagers, this project builds professional capacity in heritage education through participatory workshops. Experts and staff co-develop programs aimed at adolescents, including training in heritage interpretation and collaborative tour design. Local teens are directly involved in shaping and leading guided visits. The initiative promotes knowledge exchange between partners and empowers staff with new methodologies to better connect with youth. It seeks to leave a lasting impact by establishing effective, youth-friendly educational frameworks.
