European Heritage Days 2023 Concludes as New Theme for 2024 Emerges: “Routes, Networks and Connections”

The European Heritage Days 2023 season recently concluded, showcasing Europe’s “Living Heritage” through vibrant events across 48 countries. From mid-August to early November, heritage sites, museums, and landmarks welcomed visitors to immersive experiences showcasing cultural traditions and skills. As preparations begin for the 2024 season, the new theme “Routes, Networks, and Connections” promises to explore the interconnectedness of Europe’s cultural heritage, inviting communities and cultural institutions to delve into diverse historical narratives and connections.

From mid-August to early November, tens of thousands of heritage sites, museums, and landmarks spanning 48 countries welcomed visitors, offering immersive experiences into diverse cultural traditions, practices, and skills passed down through generations.
