European Commission and the EHL Bureau co-organised the 2023 EHL National Coordinators and Expert Panel Meeting

The 2023 EHL National Coordinators and Expert Panel Meeting, co-organised by the European Commission and the EHL Bureau team, took place on October 30th and 31st in Brussels, Belgium. This significant event convened National Coordinators and Expert Panel Members from across Member States to discuss key policy updates and internal processes of the European Heritage Label.

The European Commission and the EHL Bureau co-organised the 2023 EHL National Coordinators and Expert Panel Meeting in Brussels. This annual gathering brought together stakeholders from various Member States to discuss policy updates and internal processes of the European Heritage Label.

Held in the heart of the European Union, Brussels, the meeting began with a social soirée at the Migration Museum, an esteemed EHL Site in Belgium. Attendees had the opportunity to network and engage in informal discussions before embarking on a guided museum tour, enjoying a captivating musical performance, and participating in a lively reception.

On October 31st, the official working session commenced with 37 participants in person and an additional 12 joining remotely. The primary focus was to provide National Coordinators and Expert Panel Members with updates on EHL policies and to engage in discussions regarding various internal processes such as selection, evaluation, and monitoring of EHL Sites.

The EHL Bureau team expressed their delight in co-organising this significant event and having the opportunity to personally interact with numerous project stakeholders. This gathering underscored the commitment and collaborative efforts of stakeholders towards advancing the objectives of the European Heritage Label.
