The European Cultural Heritage Summit 2024 is set to occur in Bucharest, Romania, from October 6 to 8. This event offers a valuable platform to discuss and promote the political, environmental, and societal significance of cultural heritage for Europe and its citizens.

The European Cultural Heritage Summit 2024 is set to occur in Bucharest, Romania, from October 6 to 8. This event offers a valuable platform to discuss and promote the political, environmental, and societal significance of cultural heritage for Europe and its citizens. The summit is held under the patronage of the President of Romania, H.E. Klaus Iohannis.

Organized by Europa Nostra, as part of the European Cultural Heritage Agora project co-funded by the European Union, the summit is a collaborative effort involving the Romanian Order of Architects, Monumentum Association, ARA – Architecture, Restoration, Archeology, ARCHÉ Association, Pro Patrimonio, and various other cultural heritage organizations and partners, both public and private, within Romania.

One of the highlights of the summit will be the European Heritage Awards Ceremony, honoring the 2024 recipients of the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards. This event will take place on the evening of October 7 at the prestigious Romanian Athenaeum concert hall in Bucharest, with Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, in attendance. Additionally, the European Heritage Excellence Day, featuring presentations from the 2024 award winners, is scheduled for October 6.

For attendees interested in exploring more, cultural tours will be available from October 9 to 18, offering various itineraries.
