Organized by The Architects' Council of Europe (ACE)
New European Bauhaus: Heritage & Transformation Conference
On November 28, 2024, the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE) and Europa Nostra will host a joint online conference titled “New European Bauhaus: Heritage & Transformation.” The event will be livestreamed, bringing together stakeholders, policymakers, and experts to discuss the future of Europe’s built heritage amidst the ongoing transformation of the continent’s urban and architectural landscapes.
As the European Union pushes forward with ambitious plans to renovate and reimagine its built environment, the conference will focus on key challenges in heritage preservation, sharing innovative solutions for the protection, retrofit, and reuse of historical buildings and public spaces.
On this occasion, high-level representatives from Poland and the EU Institutions as well as experts from across Europe will share their perspectives on the New European Bauhaus initiative and its implications for the heritage sector, in terms of innovation, sustainability, inclusion and funding.
This hybrid event will be held under the Honorary Patronage of the Mayor of Kraków, Aleksander Miszalski, and is organised in collaboration and with the support of the International Cultural Centre and the Europa Nostra Heritage Hub in Krakow, in the framework of the EU-funded European Heritage Hub pilot project.
