Reviving myth and tradition through sport

Organized by the International Association “AETHLIOS,” the event took place on May 16–17, 2025, featuring two simultaneous races beginning at the Ancient Stadium of Nemea. The main Olympian Race covered 180 km over 28 hours, traversing a mixture of asphalt and dirt paths with 20 supply and control stations along the route. A shorter 62 km race from Ancient Nemea to Levidi lasted approximately 10 hours.

Runners from across the globe participated, journeying through the historic region of Argolida, Arcadia, and Ilia. Passing through the storied “Fliasia Chora” and breathtaking landscapes, the athletes connected the two legendary stadiums of antiquity. Their effort echoed the ancient competitors’ quest for glory, culminating in Olympia where victors were historically crowned Olympic Champions.

The 12th Olympian Race was a powerful reminder of the timeless spirit of athleticism and cultural heritage. It inspired participants and spectators alike to celebrate the legacy of ancient sports and the unifying power of endurance, tradition, and community.
