A Magical Summer Solstice at Bosco delle Querce
The night between Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21, marked the Summer Solstice—the astronomical beginning of the summer season, featuring the longest day and the shortest night of the year.
At Bosco delle Querce, this occasion was celebrated with a wonderful initiative called “Night in the Woods,” organized by Legambiente Lombardia. The event successfully combined adventure, teamwork, and a deep connection with nature.
The weekend began in a true spirit of collaboration. Participants set up tents together and arranged the tables for meals, which immediately created a fantastic atmosphere of camaraderie. This shared effort soon turned into conviviality, filled with laughter, outdoor conversations, and the simple pleasure of spending time together away from the rush of everyday life.
Sleeping in the heart of the forest, surrounded by its comforting sounds, made the experience even more magical.
As darkness fell, the forest revealed its hidden life. During a guided night walk, participants kept their eyes and ears wide open, and they were fortunate enough to spot bats and amphibians. Ultimately, the initiative provided the perfect opportunity for attendees to disconnect from technology, reconnect with nature, and forge new friendships.
